Perform set-ups on all packaging lines/fill lines, make adjustments during production and operates packaging/filling equipment. Perform duties in accordance with all safety rules, using the proper Personal Protection Equipment.
Additional Information
Schedule: First Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.
- Review shop order to verify that all the proper materials are being used
- Check spec sheet for special instructions and proper package markings
- Operate filling equipment, assuring that proper fill weights and machine speeds are maintained
- Inspect filled containers for proper date code, lid or cap closure, and proper label placement
- Pack containers in proper boxes and pack on skids, attaching skid tags and other identifying information
- Complete production reports and material deviation forms for each order
- Count remaining inventory of packaging materials at the end of production run, prior to having them put in racks
- Set-up packaging and filling equipment
- Make minor repairs and adjustments to production lines and or notify maintenance of major problems
- Perform clean down procedures to production equipment
- Advise Supervisor or Quality Control of any problems with equipment or product not meeting specifications
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly
- Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Follow all quality standards and safety rules
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
Preferred Qualifications
- Have at least one (1) year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Have at least one (1) year of experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, etc.
- Have at least one (1) year of experience monitoring the quality of raw materials or finished goods
