We are currently seeking an Operations Front Line Supervisor for our Hot Rolling Process Facility in Brackenridge, PA. The Operations Leader will manage the daily operations of the plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. The chosen applicant will provide leadership fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teaming to meet all safety, quality, delivery, cost, and performance goals for the products.

Essential Functions:

• Lead, and direct work assignments to respective hourly personnel in the organization unit operations adhering to safety and housekeeping controls
• Assure availability of operations equipment for on-time delivery. Assure correct operation of equipment for quality assurance
• Report breakdown and equipment repair needs to maintenance immediately as they occur and reduce equipment delay times by working closely with maintenance personnel
• Works closely with inside and outside support personnel for mill activity coordination

Qualifications:

• Formal or informal people leadership or management experience in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or math related technical field
• Previous experience managing a represented workforce
• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse and represented hourly workforce.
• Strong problem-solving skills and/or the ability to learn problem solving techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends, as required.
• Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a highly motivated team environment.
