Shipping Clerk – Edgerton, KS

Pay:

• Starting pay is $20.75

• Up to $1/hr pay increase after 6 months of good standing employment

Shifts:

• The position will be working, Wednesday through Saturday, 7 am to 5:30 pm.

Job Summary:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining inventory records in a warehouse or logistics environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing shipments by ensuring they are securely packed and loaded to prevent damage during shipment
• Maintains and keeps accurate records of outgoing and incoming shipments, including tracking information
• Coordinators with brokers, carriers and Uber freight to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation of goods
• Complete necessary and accurate shipping documents, such as bills od lading, invoices, ensuring compliance of regulations
• Coordinate with Operations and Warehousing to ensure order tinmelines are met and the correct product is being produced
• Verify all orders are picked and staged accurately
• Follow up with carriers on missed appointments or ETA’s
• Pick the right product from inventory and packaging using the correct material
• Creating accurate picking task, quality checks and filing of all paperwork
• Run shipping manifests and check for accuracy for completed picks and shipment
• Complete end of day reporting with manifest, total number of pallets shipped, picked and list any inventory concerns
• Maintain a tidy workspace and follow all health and safety guidlelines

Minimum Requirements:

• Working knowledge of SAP and warehouse systems
• Ability to follow all FDA health and OSHA safety regulations
• High School diploma or GED
• Previous experience and understanding of shipping, carriers, weights, creating BOL’s, restrictions and SAP knowledge
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Excel
• Strong masic bath skills required
• Attention to detail is essential
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
