BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

Generating workorders and Shipping customer orders

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, Count and record orders from customers

• Prepare and ship correspondence accurately and timely using computers and UPS software

• Follow purchase order instruction for shipping instruction

• Box, wrap and tape packages for transportation

• Train others as needed

• Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

  EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High School Graduate

• Training or knowledge of basic computer skills

  REQUIRED TRAINING FOR THE JOB:

• 8 weeks on-site job training with other Tru-Edge associate – work 100% checked

  SAFETY TRAINING FOR THE JOB: (to be completed in the first 6 months)

• General Safety Plan

• Emergency Action Plan

• Fire Safety Plan

  SKILLS:

• Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone

• Ability to type and use work order computer software

• Familiarity and experience with general office equipment and computers

• Ability to count with accuracy and keep records

• Ability to remain patient and calm under stress.

• Ability to train others

  OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Stationed in shipping/receiving.

• Occasional overtime hours required.

• Attend to different task simultaneously

• Work in a fast past environment

• Work under deadlines

• Minimal hazards. General shipping/receiving working conditions while logging in orders.

• Minimal hazards. Isolated area for shipping / receiving in shop area.
