Express Employment is looking for experienced WELDER FITTER/FABRICATORS with Shop experience to join our client’s team.

Shift:

Monday – Friday 7:00am – 5:00 pm

Pay: $20.00-$30.00hr (DOE)

position, align, fit, weld parts to form complete units or subunits, follow blueprints and layout specifications, using fixtures, welding torches and hand tools.

• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers and measuring tapes.
• Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed in order to ensure that specifications are met.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammers.
• Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, and/or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• Move parts into position, manually or by using hoists or cranes.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind and/or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors.
• Examine work pieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the industry.
