| position Highlights | The Simulation Nurse Specialist is responsible for promoting a healthcare simulation laboratory learning environment based on contemporary best practices, leading-edge technology, and the testing of new approaches. The Simulation Nurse Specialist will collaborate with the UA College of Nursing Simulation Team and under the direction of the Simulation Director or Site Coordinator and work with faculty to guide student skills acquisition, deliberative practice, and simulation-based education activities. The Simulation Nurse Specialist will have an important role on the simulation team, working closely with the Simulation Nurse faculty, faculty from a variety of nursing programs, and staff and students to implement and help run simulation events. Simulation Nurse Specialists are primary points of contact between faculty, staff, and learners, and are responsible for assuring simulation scenarios are conducted with excellence and in a manner that is similar to actual clinical practice.
