Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Situation Unit Support Specialist to assist the Situation Unit Leader in gathering, processing, and disseminating critical incident information. This role is essential in supporting situational awareness by producing clear and accurate summaries and reports for use by SERT staff and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Situation Unit Leader in collecting information on emergency response activities statewide
• Collect, process, organize, and summarize incident data from multiple sources
• Prepare daily situation summaries and specialized reports for internal and external use
• Create situational awareness products for SERT staff and emergency response partners
• Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of updates to all stakeholders
• Work closely with field and EOC personnel to verify and validate incoming information
• Assist in the development of maps, dashboards, and other data visualization tools
• Maintain logs, documentation, and historical records for post-incident analysis

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience supporting emergency response or situational reporting functions
• Strong written communication and analytical skills
• Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into actionable products
• Familiarity with incident management systems and emergency operations procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
• Knowledge of ICS structure and situational reporting standards
• Proficiency with tools such as WebEOC, ArcGIS, and Tableau
• Experience producing visual information products and operational summaries

• Travel Required: Yes – up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), coordination centers, or remote field environments. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
