Job Title: Freelance Social Content Creator (Blended Model / Event-Based)
Location: Remote + Willingness to Travel (e.g., major U.S. cities)
Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Start: Rolling, as needed with short notice (1-2 weeks)

About the Role

We’re building a flexible roster of freelance creators to support a range of social-first, event-based content projects. This is part of a blended creative model – combining internal team collaboration with external creators to concept and execute quick-turn, culturally relevant content for social platforms.

Some shoots happen at live events, some are street-level content capture, and others involve prepping ideas ahead of time, traveling, and then producing on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the internal creative team to ideate concepts for quick-turn shoots
• Travel to event locations and capture dynamic, short-form content for social platforms
• Work alongside a producer and other creators to execute ideas on the ground
• Capture content that aligns with a variety of tones – from quirky and comedic to lifestyle and candid
• Be prepared to jump into roles both in front of and behind the camera, depending on the assignment
• Respond quickly to briefs and requests – sometimes with as little as 1-2 weeks’ notice
• Help us build a growing library of reliable, creative, and travel-ready freelancers

Who You Are

• A nimble content creator who’s fluent in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other short-form platforms
• Comfortable ideating and producing content that feels funny, culturally relevant, or quirky
• Capable of shooting on the fly – at events, in the street, or with minimal crew
• Strong communicator who can turn around concepts quickly and travel with short notice
• Ideally has experience directing or working with talent (especially casual, on-the-street style)
• Bonus if you’re a comedian, lifestyle creator, or improv-savvy

Nice to Haves

• Your own mobile gear setup (phone/gimbal/mic etc.)
• A small network of other creators or shooters you trust
• Experience ideating within brand constraints while keeping it fresh
• Background in lifestyle, humor, or street-interview content

Project Logistics

• Projects are intermittent: may go quiet for a while, then ramp up fast
• Briefs are shared via email with clear expectations and turnaround needs

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.00 to $45.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
