position Summary:

Make a meaningful impact every day. This position will provide clinical social work support to the Adult Med/Surg Social Work Department As a clinical social worker, you will provide compassionate, direct care to patients and families through psychosocial assessments, tailored care plans, and ongoing support. Your expertise helps guide referrals and ensure continuity of care, all while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. You’ll also play a vital role in supporting departmental operations while contributing directly to our mission and organizational goals

What You Bring:

education:

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

Expertise:

Strong understanding of biopsychosocial and cultural aspects of clinical social work.

Familiarity with healthcare systems, procedures, and available community resources.

Insight into today’s evolving healthcare environment and patient needs.

Skills:

Outstanding communication-both written and verbal-with a professional and empathetic approach.

Clinical proficiency in mental health/healthcare social work services.

Critical thinking and analytical skills to assess needs, develop care plans, and deliver effective interventions.

A solutions-oriented mindset to identify barriers and recommend improvements in patient care.

Licensure:

Licensed Master’s Social Worker ( LMSW) through the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.

Applicants licensed in another state or jurisdiction may qualify under Board regulations if licensure is pending or examination requirements have been met.

experience:

At least one year of clinical social work experience preferred (internships may count), ideally within a mental health or healthcare setting.

Salary Range: Minimum $31.92/hour – Maximum $52.69/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
