Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Mental Health Team to work full time for Worcestershire.The salary for this Social Worker job is up to £42,186 per annum.Main duties:

• Engage with adults using a strength-based approach to address diverse care needs and manage risks effectively.
• Collaborate with professional to ensure a holistic, multi-agency approach promoting independence for adults and carers.
• Uphold statutory requirements, adhering to best practices outlined in the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
• Participate in reflective practice and peer support initiatives, contributing to a cohesive team environment.
• Identify and support adults and carers at risk of abuse or neglect, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
• Represent the Council in court proceedings when necessary and advocate for the service users’ best interests.
• Facilitate meaningful conversations to assess eligibility under the Care Act 2014 and developed tailored support plans.
• Build strong relationships with external agencies and the local community to ensure comprehensive support networks.
• Develop creative support plans aligned with individuals’ outcomes to enhance independence.
• Gather and analyse information to inform decision-making processes.
• Make financial decisions within the framework of Adult Social Care’s Devolved Decision-Making Policy.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and fulfil continuing professional development requirements.

Requirements of this Social Worker job:

• A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of relevant legislation.
• Registered or eligible for registration.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Capability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and build partnerships.
