Commercial Engineering & AI (CEAI) organization is at the forefront of Microsoft’s mission to accelerate AI-driven business value for customers and partners. As a Software Engineer in CEAI, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to building innovative AI solutions that enrich employee experiences, reinvent customer engagement, and reshape business processes.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems to support our business goals. You will work in a collaborative, growth-mindset environment, leveraging Microsoft’s cutting-edge AI stack-including Copilot, LLMs, and cloud-native technologies-to deliver scalable, secure, and high-impact products.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.Our engineers are empowered to experiment, learn, and drive measurable impact across Microsoft’s global commercial ecosystem.

Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Software Engineering IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 – $202,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 – $219,200 per year.
