You Are:

As the Software Engineer Manager you are experience in payment system modernization. You are a leader who ensures the seamless integration of the payment processing solutions via configuration, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and security with the 3rd party product/Application. As the Lead Software Engineer you are a strong team leader, motivating team members to exceed client expectations.

The Opportunity:

• Manage technical dependencies and interface specifications across multiple teams.
• Design, develop, and oversee integration workflows between internal systems, payment gateways, processors, and external partners.
• Lead the integration of payment routing engines into our systems, ensuring compatibility with various payment gateways, processors, and financial institutions.
• Conduct thorough technical analysis of existing systems and infrastructure to identify integration points and potential challenges.
• Design and implement APIs to facilitate communication between our applications and the payment acquirers ensuring smooth data exchange.
• Configure and customize payment routing parameters based on business requirements, ensuring optimal transaction flow and routing decisions.
• Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of payment transactions.
• Investigate and resolve integration issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Optimize the performance of payment routing processes, identifying and addressing bottlenecks to enhance overall system efficiency.
• Create comprehensive documentation for integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

What you need:

• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering plus one year working in payment processing project and 3+ years of Golang.
• Hands-on experience in Go Template and JQ programming language.
• Strong understanding of APIs and data interchange formats (JSON, XML) with expertise in API integration, middleware platform
• Hands on experience in scripting languages like Python.
• Good understanding of OOPs concepts and programming
• Familiarity with security standards and compliance in payment industry
• Experience in integrating payment routing engines and payment protocols
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Good to have:

• Experience in GO language
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Google/Azure)
• Experience in payment routing engines
• Database knowledge (Oracle/MongoDB/SQL)
• Java, SpringBoot

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Englewood, CO

Compensation Range: $143,000-$215,000

Certain regular employees may have the potential for quarterly incentive-based bonuses or commissions depending on role.

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
