An excellent and unique opportunity has arisen within a top national firm for a Solicitor Advocate to join a leading team specialising in motor liability defence in Manchester. You will be joining one of the UK’s top defendant motor claims teams, representing major insurers, self-insured corporates, and fleet operators. This is a chance to work on cases ranging from straightforward liability disputes to complex, high-value injury claims.As a Solicitor Advocate, you will:

• Conduct advocacy in the County Court, including OIC and MOJ hearings, trials, and applications.
• Provide strategic advice on procedural and liability issues in motor-related claims.
• Draft pleadings, skeleton arguments, and legal opinions.
• Manage and progress personal injury litigation with a proactive approach.
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels to deliver practical, commercial legal solutions.
• Support and mentor junior team members in advocacy and litigation.

About you:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx Advocate.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in litigation and courtroom advocacy.
• Background in motor litigation or personal injury claims.
• Confident in handling your own hearings, applications, and trials.
• Experience with credit hire, indemnity, fraud, or catastrophic injury cases in a plus.
• Strong communicator with a client-focused approach.
