In this role, your focus will be the provision of advisory and consultative services to local education agencies and Intermediate Units in the planning, monitoring, improvement, and evaluation of special education programs and services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. You will be responsible for conducting plan reviews and approving intermediate unit and school district special education plans which will ensure that a full range of services are being provided for students with disabilities. This includes assuring program compliance through cyclical monitoring in local education agencies, investigating complaints as required by federal regulations, following up on reports, and conducting fact findings. Your work may also include on-site activities as well as participation in public meetings organized for the improvement of programs and services for students with disabilities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Five years of professional experience in special education including two years as an administrator of a special education program; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes two years as an administrator of a special education program.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
