This role is ad hoc and would be in addition to a current role. This is a great opportunity to drive improvement within Primary Medical Services, by delivering specialist advice within the inspection and assessment programme. This is a role with flexibility, plus the opportunity to impact positively on people’s lives and the quality of services. If you’re passionate about ensuring that Primary Medical Services effectively deliver their duties under part one of the Care Act, then we would love to hear from you.What you will bring…You will have relevant knowledge and experience which will help you collate and analyse evidence as part of the inspection team. You should be a skilled communicator, with the ability to engage with staff, service users and stakeholders at every level. You should have an up to date clinical knowledge of current clinical guidance, standards and regulations.Successful candidates within a GP Specialist Advisor role will have been in post as a GP for at least 5 years post qualification. They will need a current license to practice, as well as be on the NHS GP performers list. Where GP Specialist Advisors are Partners or have a salaried role, they will be employed within a practice which has a current CQC rating of either good or outstanding. Within this role, successful candidates will also be required to have a smartcard and be highly computer literate.Please note that all Specialist Advisors who are successful in applying will be required to participate in 2-day generic induction and then 2 separate days on training in clinical searches and how to do remote access assessmentsIndividual Adjustments…We are committed to being open and transparent around our processes and we endeavour to offer every candidate the opportunity to perform at their best throughout the recruitment process.
