In the role of System Protection and Studies EIT/SPS Designer, we’ll count on you to:

  • Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options, performing modeling and/or calculations
  • Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications.
  • Perform routine engineering and design tasks and participate in field reviews or construction observation.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer, APM, or PM.
  • May independently work on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of experience doing electrical power system analysis, electrical system planning, protective device Application, settings and substation design is highly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a SPS Designer position and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Some travel may be required
  • Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
