Are you a seasoned data professional eager to make an immediate and significant impact on core financial systems? Aquent is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Developer to join our partner. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of enhancing and supporting foundational data infrastructure, delivering immediate value by optimizing performance, building robust ETL solutions, and ensuring seamless data movement within complex batch processing environments. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability and efficiency of vital financial operations, solving critical data challenges and driving essential business functions forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support batch jobs, ensuring high performance and reliability for critical financial systems.
• Build and maintain robust ETL and data movement pipelines to support essential business operations.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for peak performance and system reliability, directly impacting data processing efficiency.
• Provide essential support for batch execution, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution in production environments, ensuring continuous operation.
• Perform thorough root cause analysis for data discrepancies or job failures, implementing effective and lasting solutions.
• Create clear and comprehensive documentation for packages, batch logic, and data flows, contributing to knowledge sharing and system maintainability.
• Collaborate effectively with QA teams, production support, and full-time engineering staff to deliver integrated and high-quality solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven software development experience, with a focus on data-centric solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with package development and ongoing support.
• Extensive database expertise, including complex query writing, stored procedure development, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience in building and supporting database-based batch jobs within critical environments.
• Working knowledge of .NET / C# for backend or batch workflow development.
• Experience supporting scheduled and automated jobs within production environments, ensuring reliability and uptime.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex batch failures and data-related issues efficiently.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise job schedulers.
• Experience working with and modernizing legacy batch jobs.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
