What We Do

First American is looking to add a Sr. Commercial Title Assistant to our growing team in Santa Ana. FA sets the standard for excellence in the commercial real estate space. In this role, you will work in adynamic, fast-paced setting supporting our Commercial Title team in a wide range of duties.
What You’ll Do:
- Open and process new orders in FAST and paperless files, track order status, and assist with closing and receiving and compiling all necessary documents.
- Support underwriters with closing commercial transactions by assisting with administering invoices and wire instructions, making deposits, and applying incoming wires.
- Coordinate and assist with the tracking and resolution of customer comments and underwriting requests with underwriters and underwriting counsel.
- Perform post-closing functions, including supervising the timely filing UCC financing statements or amendments, following for payment, preparation of final policies in accordance with final markups and pro formas, and delivery of same to the parties
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- fluency in company operating systems (i.e., FAST proprietary title and escrow platform)
- Familiarity and/or working knowledge of several office software packages which include word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics and desktop publishing applications
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times
- Strong detail orientation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years prior real estate experience as paralegal or assistant in law firm or national commercial title and closing operation in the title industry
