Sr Compliance Specialist – Exempt in Fridley, Minnesota

Description

We are seeking a Sr Compliance Specialist to join our team based in Fridley, Minnesota. This role involves supporting various operating units for the Field Corrective Action (FCA) scoping and notification process, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders across the organization. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Act swiftly in collaboration with cross-functional partners to prioritize patient safety and regulatory compliance and ensure timely FCA implementation.

• Utilize internal ERP system and other internal IT tools to perform reporting and reconciliation activities on the impacted product.

• Ensure FCA documents and records are maintained with accuracy and in compliance with good documentation practices and record retention requirements.

• Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement projects to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance.

• Align your actions with the legal and ethical standards of the organization.

• Administer and certify compliance policies, procedures, and practices.

• Investigate complaints, verify deficiencies are corrected, and provide compliance advice.

• Develop and implement employee communication and training programs.

• Deliver and oversee projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies using specialized knowledge and skills.

• Work independently as well as part of a team, using sound judgment and resolving ambiguous situations as needed.

Requirements • Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably at a senior level

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in marketing is advantageous

• Ability to train staff on compliance procedures and policies

• Knowledge of compliance regulations and quality standards

• Ability to review and improve compliance systems and procedures

• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Previous experience in supervising a team

• Knowledge of ‘About Time’ software or similar time management applications

• Experience in conducting external audits

• Strong auditing skills

• Good phone presence and ability to handle phone-based communication efficiently

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Experience in financial reconciliations

• Ability to manage relationships with vendors

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks as required

• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations

• Experience in implementing compliance practices and procedures

• Ability to develop and implement best practices for compliance.
