Job Description

Blue Cross NC is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data and Technology Advisor to help power our Enterprise Data, Analytics, and Unified Delivery Strategy. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that highquality, reliable data is available across the organization.
This is a production support role – highly handson, fastpaced, and not driven by traditional business requirements or project cycles. If you enjoy solving complex data puzzles, navigating multiple data sources, and bringing stability to critical data assets, this may be a strong match for you.

What You Will Do

Data ProblemSolving

• Provide expert business and technical guidance across Blue Cross NC’s data ecosystem.
• Support enterprise data asset design and ensure solutions align with both current and futurestate architecture.

Support and Enhance Strategic Data Assets

• Troubleshoot, stabilize, and enhance data assets across platforms (Snowflake), and enterprise data stores ( EDW, TAP, EODS, MDM, Analytics & Insights Platform).
• Build and deliver accurate, timely data extracts to support enterprise programs and users.

Consult and Guide Key Stakeholders

• Partner with business, analytics, and leadership teams to clarify data lineage, identify data gaps, and recommend the bestfit data solutions.
• Help teams understand how to access and use data across multiple environments.

Production Support Excellence

• Work across multiple data sources – often with limited documentation – to diagnose and resolve data issues.
• Support and troubleshoot userdeveloped reports and queries, navigating ambiguity with confidence.
• Investigate data anomalies, mismatches, or quality problems across systems.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide thought leadership and mentoring to support teams in building and stabilizing data assets.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within a diverse technical environment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required)
• 5+ years of experience in related field
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field
• Expert-level SQL skills and the ability to quickly build and validate complex queries and extracts
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a natural curiosity for how data works behind the scenes.
• Experience navigating multiple data ecosystems and platforms.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively during urgent production support needs.
• A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

$107,901.00 – $172,642.00
