What you’ll do
We’re excited to announce a dynamic opportunity for a Sr. Payroll Analyst to join our growing team! This role offers the flexibility and convenience of fully remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States.
The day-to-day
- Process multi-state, biweekly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance.
- Process and reconcile equity compensation transactions reported as ordinary income through payroll, including year-to-date wage reconciliations.
- Review, audit, and validate payroll entries to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Review and respond to payroll-related correspondence, including tax notices and agency letters.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining new account registrations with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll laws, tax filings, and reporting requirements.
- Partner with the General Ledger team on payroll reconciliations and investigate variances in a timely manner.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll close activities including vacation accruals.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare ad hoc reports to support audits, management requests, and payroll-related projects.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll tax filings and reconciliations.
- Perform other duties and special projects assigned, contributing to the overall success of the payroll function.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 8+ years of relevant and progressive payroll experience with strong hands-on expertise in Multi state payroll regulations, wage and hour laws and tax requirements.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, ADP Vantage, ADP Smart Compliance, Workday and Oracle timekeeping systems.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as it relates to payroll.
- Adaptable to a fast-changing work environment; able to deliver accurate and on-time payroll regardless of the circumstances.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement.
What will help you on the job
- Knowledge of tax requirements in all 50 States + Guam is preferred.
- CPP or FPC Certified is a plus.
- Familiarity with internal audits and SOX compliance.
Salary range
$83,000.00 – $131,500.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $103,500.00- $155,500.00/ annually
