Summary:

The Senior Project Manager- IT Innovation Initiatives role is accountable for managing a range of complex and large scale, multifaceted projects and programs from intake to project closure. Incumbents in this role work with end users, team members, functional area managers, senior management, vendors, executive management and external constituents.

This role is part of the Innovation Initiatives Team within the IT Division, tasked with implementing a wide range of strategic IT projects across the MaineHealth system. These projects may encompass patient care, financial, research, or administrative domains and can include new software systems, hardware, and physical locations (e.g., new practice sites or care delivery venues). These will be high-impact, high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines that require precise execution to stay on schedule and budget.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
2. License/Certifications: PMI certified required.
3. Experience: Four years of healthcare experience required. Work experience in healthcare as well as knowledge of systems, vendor management and IT organizations required. Experience working with C-Suite Executives required.
