Staff Accountant in Monrovia, California

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Monrovia, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and improving our company’s financial status and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring the precision and promptness of invoice creation and entry.

• Carry out monthly bank reconciliations, confirming the accuracy of our financial records.

• Prepare necessary documentation for external auditors, facilitating efficient audits.

• Participate in the preparations for month-end closings, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and reported accurately.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, Journal Entries, SAP, and Account Reconciliation to perform daily tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Knowledge of accounting principles and ethical standards.
