Staff Accountant in Nashville, Tennessee

Description We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant. This role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and is within the finance industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various financial operations such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and other accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis

• Maintain and manage the general ledger

• Prepare journal entries and month-end close activities

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks

• Ensure timely processing and accurate record keeping of customer transactions

• Resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts

• Monitor customer accounts for discrepancies and take appropriate action when necessary

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Proficiency in maintaining General Ledger

• Experience in recording Journal Entries would be advantageous

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly desirable

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
