Summary: Under the supervision of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Manager or Team Leader, the Sterile Processing Technician Trainee participates in the decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. This role supports safe and effective patient care by ensuring instruments and equipment are processed according to established standards and procedures. The trainee develops foundational knowledge and skills in sterile processing while maintaining quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Work Location: On-site (Baltimore, MD)

Shift: Full-time, Evening Shift

education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training: Must obtain certification through CBSPD, HSPA, or IAHCSMM within two (2) years of hire

Work experience: No prior experience required; healthcare or sterile processing exposure preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 17.99/hour – Maximum 20.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
