The Creation and Donation, Sponsorship, and Experiential Marketing Department is made up of two teams. The Creation Team and The Donation, Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing Team. The Creation and Brand lead and direct the Desjardins brand expression. Our focus on innovation, consistency and relevance enables us to create marketing communications that embody the brand’s personality. The Donations, Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing are to develop, manage and maximize the impacts of initiatives in alignment with the community engagement goal, brand experience and business development objectives of Desjardins. Both striving towards the goal of the Centre of Expertise to create a memorable experience with our members and clients with the right message at the right time through the right channel. The Strategic Advisor plays a pivotal role in guiding the department towards enhanced marketing effectiveness and strategic alignment. This role involves a bend of strategic planning, market analysis, and leadership support to drive continuous improvement and expertise enhancement within the market domain. You aid in making recommendations on the development and completion of assignments and projects with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity that calls for analysis and a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination is critical, as you interact with a very large number of stakeholders in a variety of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialized consultant and expert in your field of expertise and act as a contact and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:Leadership support – supports the development of leadership meetings by preparing presentations, reports, and strategic recommendations. This involves synthesizing complex data into actionable insights that can guide executive decision-making and stimulate discussions on the vision and evolution of DP expertiseStrategic consultant – develops and recommend changes of the organizational system and structure to improve effectiveness while promoting the development of people within the directorship and amongst the vice-presidency. Assists the managers in their reasoning of the evolution of their respective teamContinuous improvement – a focus on continuous improvement is essential, providing recommendations for enhancements based on performance metrics and feedbackCollaboration across team – working closely with cross-functional teams—is vital to ensure that marketing strategies are integrated across the Centre of Expertise. This collaboration helps align efforts and maximize impact. Such as establish and maintain links with other strategic advisors to facilitate exchanges and workPerformance measurements – establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success. The advisor analyzes these metrics to assess effectiveness and providing data-driven recommendationsTraining and development – is involved in enhancing the expertise of team members through expertise Mondays with training sessions, workshops, ensuring that the marketing team stays updated on best practices and emerging trendsMarket analysis and insights – conducts thorough market research to gather insights on industry trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape.
