Student Assistant (Werkstudent) – Shipping Advisory Consultancy

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to join our Shipping Advisory Hamburg & Dubai team at our Hamburg office. You will support a variety of client projects and business development activities in the areas of green finance, decarbonization, and vessel assessment.

• Support advisory projects for ship financing banks and vessel owners in the field of green finance and decarbonization, including:
• Data management in coordination with banks and ship owners
• Emission data analysis and carbon abatement modeling
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis of large data sets
• Synthesis of results and preparation of client presentations
• Contribute to vessel condition assessment projects for financial institutions
• Assist in the development of services, as well as support sales and marketing activities

Qualifications/Experience:

• Student with Engineering major and affinity to Business Administration. Shipping knowledge beneficial
• Good knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Fluent in English

• Structured thinker and worker
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitatively (incl. Excel analytics and modelling) and qualitatively
• Strong problem-solving capabilities: Hypotheses development and testing, synthesis
• Ambitious, positive and self-motivated attitude
