- Serve as a liaison between University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy and New Mexico State University.
- Provide prerequisite course guidance and career advisement to prospective students.
- Serve as a representative of the College of Pharmacy at recruitment events in Las Cruces and Southern New Mexico.
- Engage prospective students in group and one-on-one settings at high school and college events.
- Oversee the pre-pharmacy organization at New Mexico State University.
- Build and maintain partnerships with regional high schools and higher educational institutions.
- Assist with data collection and recruitment material creation.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences in various settings.
- experience in student recruitment, admissions, or related higher education functions.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and industry partners.
- Strong organizational and event-planning skills, including coordinating recruitment events.
- Proficiency in database management, data analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of admissions processes, financial aid, and student retention strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Have a valid driver’s license or obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty days of hire.
- Willingness to travel regularly and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Bachelor’s degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Professional experience with academic advising in higher education.
- FERPA knowledge/certification.
- Strong listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to comfortably use Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Teams, and other cloud services.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management tools.
- Have a valid driver’s license or obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty days of hire.
- Ability to travel locally and statewide.
All Regular employees hired for an Out-of-State RWA must agree to an employee status of Term Appointment and subject to regular renewals no longer than yearly, in accordance with UAP 3200, Employee Classification. Renewal of Term Appointments is not guaranteed; the remote work arrangement, operational, and business needs will be considered in determining whether to renew the Term Appointment.
