Smith & Wesson is looking for a SAP Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This opportunity will give exposure to high-performance SAP systems and applications that support business operations. The internship will give a student experience with architecting SAP technical solutions, implementing and supporting SAP applications and Infrastructure, and monitoring system performance and utilization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help maintain accurate documentation of SAP system configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies (SOX, PCI, Corporate, etc.).
• Analyze and resolve business support related requests.
• Identify recurring challenges with existing processes or functionality and propose potential solutions.
• Assist with configuring and documenting interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Assist in testing activities to ensure system functionality, performance, and quality standards are achieved.
• Gain experience with system configuration of SAP ECC systems based on business requirements and best practices.
• Aid with analyzing system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning measures to optimize system performance.
• Learn about System Administration by assisting with routine system administration tasks such as client copy, system copy, client export/import, and system refresh. See how we improve system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure high availability and performance.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

Within the Smith & Wesson manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
