ANNUAL SALARY (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/experience): $166,400.00 – $197,600.00

SCOPE: The Supervisor, Nursing Services provides leadership and oversight across all infusion and clinical sites, ensuring consistent, safe, and efficient nursing operations. This position supervises Lead RNs and works collaboratively with site managers, pharmacy, Physician and APPs to maintain clinical excellence, financial stewardship, and regulatory compliance. The Supervisor is responsible for staffing, budgeting, training consistency, and implementing system-wide quality and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient and staff experience.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to Lead RNs across all sites, ensuring consistent Application of policies, protocols, and standards of care.
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling across all sites, ensuring adequate coverage aligned with patient volumes and budgeted FTEs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for Lead RNs and support professional development of nursing staff.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational liaison between nursing, pharmacy, and administrative leadership.
  • Ensure cross-site collaboration and communication to foster a unified nursing culture.
  • Oversee nursing department budgets, ensuring financial responsibility, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review staffing models regularly to assess productivity, workload balance, and adherence to established benchmarks.
  • Make recommendations for operational improvements and resource allocation based on site metrics and performance data.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs, develop business cases for new roles or FTE adjustments, and evaluate financial implications of service expansions.
  • Ensure that all nursing and clinical staff maintain required licensure, certifications, and ongoing education.
  • Oversee the development, coordination, and implementation of standardized training programs for nursing, pharmacy, and infusion support teams.
  • Work with pharmacy and clinical education leads to ensure staff remain current with new drugs, infusion protocols, and REMS program requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across all sites (e.g., OSHA, USP800, Joint Commission, and state Board of Nursing).
  • Oversee completion of monthly safety checklists and audits and ensure corrective action plans are implemented when needed.
  • Lead or supports implementation of new clinical programs, technologies, and treatment modalities in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate site-level operational data (e.g., wait times, patient throughput, error trends) to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, and professional growth.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are current, communicated effectively, and consistently applied across all locations.
  • Partner with Physicians, Practice managers, and administrative teams to address clinical workflow challenges and improve patient care coordination.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN required, MSN required

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS / REGISTRATION:

  • Current, active RN license in the State of California required
  • BLS/CPR certification required
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) and ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum five (5) years clinical nursing experience in oncology or infusion setting.
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership experience, preferably overseeing multiple sites or departments
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, staffing, and operational management preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct supervision to Lead RNs and indirect supervision to all nursing and support staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations for Lead RNs and reviews site-level performance feedback provided by Leads.
  • Oversees staffing, scheduling, PTO approvals, and FTE allocation across all sites.
  • Approves hiring recommendations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures cross-site consistency in training, performance standards, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Mentors Lead RNs, fostering professional development and leadership growth within the nursing team
