Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a </align-center>Supervisor in Mozzarella Packaging based in Buffalo, New York.</align-center>
</align-left>Summary: Ensures the Mozzarella Packaging department is operating properly.</align-left>
</align-left>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:</align-left>1.Analyzes and evaluates information concerning daily operations and how these results positively or negatively affect department performance.</align-left>2.Ensures department is running in a smooth efficient manner, completes supervisor rounds as required. </align-left>3.Works with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP and QC policies and procedures and proper maintenance of equipment.</align-left>4.Suggest and debate alternative methods and procedures in problem solving procedure. </align-left>5.Participates in operating budget, goals, and objectives of the department and works toward meeting and/or exceeding these expectations.</align-left>6.Monitors punches and ensure there are sufficient personnel including temporary hours. </align-left>7.Completes all records and charting as required.</align-left>8.Meets regularly with shift supervisors and sanitation supervisors to stay informed about all issues arising in the department.</align-left>9.Department employee meetings conducted on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.</align-left>10.Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely and professional manner. (Phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meeting presentations).</align-left>11.Responsible for hiring and scheduling required within the department, including temporary staff if necessary.</align-left>12.Actively works on the production floor to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments.</align-left>13.Maintains open communication with all employees including department managers.</align-left>14.Implement special projects and procedures as directed. </align-left>

Requirements

Qualifications:

*Ability to perform a multitude of tasks.

*Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.

education and/or experience:

*High School Diploma/GED required.

*Associates Degree in Business Administration or dairy science preferred

*Knowledge of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

*3-5 years of Supervisory experience preferred.

*Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.

Salary Description

$65,000 – $75,000
