Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions

• The supervisor is responsible for an assigned area or a building.
• Responsible for the direct oversight of front-line employees.
• Responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met and that front-line employees are complying with all safety, quality, and compliance standards established by the Company and by our Clients
• Responsible for directing and cleaning designated areas within appropriate time-frames.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skill
• Manage employee lunches and breaks.
• Maintain communication with Managers to maintain optimum staffing levels, meet client expectations, and coordinate facility operations.
• In close coordination with Managers), effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees
• Set positive, professional example for workforce.
• Conduct safety and quality audits.
• Assign tasks to front line team members based on job requirements or special assignments.
• Inspect all completed work for conformance to ABM and customer standards.
• Train new workers and oversee on-going training of existing employees.

Minimum Requirements

• One year of supervisory experience
• One year of janitorial experience
• Training in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members verbally and in writing Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and to accomplish objectives
• Ability to handle and resolve problems
• May be required to work overnight shifts and weekends
