Description :The Supervisor, Charter Support will set performance standards for tasks, jobs and roles of the Charter Specialists while actively participating in the day-to-day functions of the charter department. Beyond maintaining the highest levels of operational excellence within the charter department, the Supervisor is responsible for two key areas: reporting to and coordinating efforts on behalf of the Manager, Charter Support and meeting or exceeding the expectations of our Charter clients with a focus on responsiveness and customer service.Reporting to: Manager, Charter Operations*Non-bargainingDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be able to perform, but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
  • Provide supervisory support and coach all Charter Specialists through all phases of charter operations
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback
  • Liaise with Operations Control Centre; charter customers; and sub-contractors as required;
  • Monitor all charter flights in Aims, including sub-contractors
  • Provide leadership and assistance during irregular operations of charter flights
  • Schedule staff and assign to check in, arrivals and departures
  • Ensure appropriate level of staff is available for check-ins, departures and arrivals
  • Ensure appropriate level of staff is available to receive and input client manifests
  • Routine checks and audits, ensure rosters are being completed and signed off
  • Cover for charter manager in his absence
  • Complete all training courses required for the position
  • Other duties as assigned and/or Charter specific by charter manager

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education (2 years)
  • One (1) year of previous leadership experience
  • Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of aviation
  • Relative or industry experience in Reservations and Workforce Logistics
  • Knowledge of SABRE, CYRIS, DAWINCI and ILOGISTICS computer systems considered an asset
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes and procedures
  • Available to work Monday to Friday, stats, evenings, weekends and on call as required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Previous experience leading and managing a team considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, well organized, detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
