The Role:

Responsible for providing direct supervision, guidance, and training to all EVS team members in accordance with all approved policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the facility meets the highest standard of cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading projects.
• Tracking radio check-ins and check-outs.
• Ensuring all areas are full to staffing needs.
• Addressing call-ins when a manager is out and assisting in the day-to-day.
• Responsible for the cleaning of all assigned public casino areas, restrooms, and offices throughout the entire casino complex on a continual basis.
• Ensure that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used per the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Ensure housekeeping equipment is free of safety violations; reports any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications:

• Three-six months housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of cleaning products and/or equipment necessary to successfully perform job.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven history of success in a demanding environment

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Constant standing, walking, using hands to finger, handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Occasionally sit, climb, balance, and lift and/or moving up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to complete essential functions in a fast paced, stressful environment

Working Conditions:

• Work with or near moving mechanical parts; occasionally in outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Constantly hot, cold, noisy, wet, dry, dirty, smoky, and dusty.
• Work environment noise level is usually loud.
• Constantly required to talk; hear; stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Constantly requires specific vision of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

License Requirements:

Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations Gaming License
