Requirements:

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program,

Certification as a Surgical Technologist CST

Current BLS certification required,

Previous pediatric or OR experience required

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment,

Schedule Requirements:

Per-Diem, minimum 24 hours per month required, with on-call and weekend rotation when necessary,

Essential Functions:

We are seeking a per-diem Surgical Technologist to join our Pediatric Operating Room team,

The Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the surgical team, responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring proper instrumentation and supplies, and assisting the surgical team throughout the procedure to ensure safe and efficient patient care,

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures,

Select, prepare, and pass instruments and supplies during surgery,

Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team,

Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and other materials,

Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards,

Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes,

Participate in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment,
