Surgical Technologist OB

Summary Responsible for functioning as a surgical scrub technologist for cesarean sections and postpartum tubal ligations performed on the Family Birth Center.# Assists with bedside care as the need arises and acts as stock control assistant when necessary.# The OB Surgical Technologist supports the functioning of the Family Birth Center under the direction of the nursing and medical staff. # Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Meets one of the following: Completion of an accredited surgical technology program and certification as a surgical technologist. Recent graduates must obtain certification within 6 months of completing the surgical technology education program. Successful completion of a surgical technology training program in the US Army, Navy or Air Force. Work experience as a surgical technologist and active surgical technology certification. EX years of experience as a surgical technologist and active surgical technology certificaiton.hnician rmployment with St. Clair Hospital as a surgical technologist on or before December 28, 2020, in accordance with PA Act 80 of 2020. Employment with a healthcare facility, practicing surgical technology as the primary function, at any time during the 2 years prior to December 28, 2020, in accordance with PA Act 80 of 2020. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). # Preferred Qualifications One to three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
