Your new role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong track record of LCA who enjoys challenging the status quo of design and construction and guiding the way towards the UK’s net zero goals.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Delivering embodied carbon calculations, BREEAM and GLA compliant Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) at different stages of project design and construction
  • Delivering Circular Economy Statements and circularity strategies
  • Hosting workshops and presentations with clients, design teams, planners and developers
  • Influencing design teams by providing appropriate sustainable material and procurement solutions to lower the impact of projects
  • Contributing to internal tool development and research
  • Preparing technical summary reports
  • Supporting the training, development and growth of junior team members
  • Managing project budgets, timeframes and deliverables to ensure high quality and profitable work

You will be part of will be part of a growing, UK-wide Sustainability Team who are looking to make a positive impact on the environment through our work. While the role will involve nationwide projects, we work very closely together and have a very supportive and fun atmosphere within the team.

About you

These include:

  • A relevant degree and/or experience within the Sustainability and/or Building sector
  • A strong track record of carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using accredited databases and tools for buildings and infrastructure projects to BREEAM and GLA standards
  • A deep knowledge of LCA software such as OneClick LCA (e-tool or other equivalent software)
  • An understanding of circular economy principles and experience applying these to projects
  • Understanding of construction materials and manufacturing processes, their compatibility and construction build-ups
  • Self-motivation, desire to take on responsibility
  • Ability to work both in a team and individually
  • Ability to manage own workload, project finances and meet project deadlines
  • Report writing experience and communication skills for clients and internal teams
  • Experience in Grasshopper scripting or coding is advantageous
