Summary

The MIL Corporationseeks aSystems Administrator (Systems Administration, Analyst)to support a Federal Government client in Patuxent River, MD. This is aSystems Administrator role that will manage Microsoft Windows based computer systems in support of the PMA-271 program.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer,supportandmaintainMicrosoft Windows and Linux operatingsystems
  • Administer and support VMware server/clusterenvironment
  • Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)methodologyon assignedsystems
  • Maintain and update operating system securitypatches
  • Maintain the system configuration standard using DoD based Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and externalvendors
  • Document maintenance,repairs,and test activities; as well as include documentation updates as an integral part of everyproject
  • Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existingsystems
  • Create andmaintainsystem documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Research and implement automated processes to improve operationalefficiency
  • Analyze andmonitorthecapacityand performance of systems and software applications and make recommendations for improvements asnecessary
  • Perform other duties and projects asassigned

Travel

5% – 10% to other sites, as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows System Administration
  • Active Security+ CE certification
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Knowledge of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guide(STIG)experience
  • Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Familiarity with the RMF (Risk Management Framework) process
  • Ability to work independently and as part of ateam
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible with work schedule to include occasional weekends
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionallyrequiredto lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Navy systems,Networks, and IT infrastructure
  • 5+ years of senior level System Administrator experience
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is aplus

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification;aMaster’sdegree will be considered in lieu of 2 years of professionalexperience

For this position, the projected compensation range is $70,000 – $115,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package.
