THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Systems Design Engineer to join the Data Center system engineering team who will be responsible for designing critical components and integrating them into the state-of-the-art Data Center GPU systems supporting future AI deployment. This is a very dynamic and fast-paced engineering environment where you will lead and participate in a wide variety of challenging product development and projects.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for a hard-working self-driven, collaborative, and strong team player with strong skills in hardware design and professional-level knowledge of the Cadence design suite. You must have excellent teamwork with strong communication and organization skills. experience with hardware design experience coupled with a deep understanding of computer architecture, signal integrity, and power delivery subsystem designs. We operate in a fast-paced design environment with changing requirements, and the ideal candidate must be flexible but also well-versed in hardware design processes and methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver Data Center GPU hardware for systems and accelerator cards.
• Work with the silicon architecture team on the definition of system architecture, creating technical product specs, driving the design efforts, and working with the program management team to define schedules and project milestones.
• Work with component vendors on the implementation of circuit design and driving design reviews with vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
• Oversee board layout, working with power and SI teams for the implementation of power solutions and SI recipes, working with manufacturing and testing on the implementation of design for manufacturing and testing, completing derating analysis, planning, and driving board bring-up verification as well as leading board debugging efforts.
• Lead debug work to solve hardware problems.
• Experience in hardware lab tools, digital oscilloscopes, and other common lab equipment is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Direct experience with hardware design of data center GPU system and understanding of AI Data Center Rack architecture and building blocks.
• Solid understanding of firmware design of the architecture of AI-based including redfish, telemetry etc.
• Experience debugging high-speed serial interfaces, PCI Express, XGMI, and LPDDR.
• Solid experience in high-speed design techniques, high-speed PHY architecture, TX equalization, and RX signal processing and high-speed metrics measurement (V-Eye, H-Eye)
• Experience with the design and development of RTL for FPGA-based sub-systems and test and verification cases for FPGA configuration design systems,
• Experience with Agile for BOM and material management (you are likely to have someone helping you here).
• Several years of experience in hardware design is required.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
