Operational Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day system administration of enterprise applications, networking, and hardware.
  • Solve complex issues escalated by Help Desk or other staff.
  • Assist other Technology Solutions staff as necessary to meet project and Credit Union needs.
  • Evaluate and implement creative ideas to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Design and implement new applications, technologies, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • Install, Configure, Secure, and Maintain complex network, server and storage systems.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews for modified and new systems.
  • Meet with end users to define system goals, identify and resolve system issues.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Create systems specifications, diagrams, and documentation for all computing systems and procedures.

Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts

Information Technology Skills

Required: Deep understanding of Windows server and desktop operating systems and virtualization technologies. Microsoft based authentication systems both cloud and on premises. Industry standard backup systems, virtual server management systems, Storage Attached Networks, network concepts, programming, and hardware, patch management, email security/filtering, proxy, and web security/filtering. Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP and other industry standard protocols. Deep understanding of O365 administration and management.

Preferred: ATM security/network/server design and management. Data network design and management, firewall and IPS design and management, Patch Management, Web server design and implementation. Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP and other industry standard protocols. Direct expierence with VMware, ISCSI or other SAN technologies. Expierence with advanced disaster recovery techniques and datacenter failover scenarios.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations (Preferred)

Microsoft Administrator, Engineer, and/or Architect certifications. AWS or Azure cloud certifications, Cisco certifications. CompTia, ISC2, or similar industry standard certifications related to systems administration, networking, security, etc..

Proven experience in implementing server and/or client software, server and infrastructure hardware, network hardware and basic programming, and other infrastructure type systems. (preferred)
5-15 years of related experience (preferred)
