- Position:Medical Office Assistant (MOA) / Medical Receptionist
- Location: Roncesvalles /West Toronto area,
- Schedule:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM plus 1 Saturday a month
- Employment Type:Full-time, Permanent
- Start Date:Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Services:Greet and assist patients warmly, creating a friendly and respectful atmosphere.
- Appointment Coordination:Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using OSCAR EMR.
- Front Desk Management:Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Medical Records:Accurately update and maintain patient information in the EMR system; familiarity with Apple devices is an asset.
- Administrative Duties:Perform filing, data entry, and process third-party requests (insurance, legal offices).
- Billing Support:Assist with third-party billing and invoice preparation according to clinic policies.
- Inventory Management:Monitor and replenish medical and office supplies; manage vaccine inventory following Public Health protocols.
- Team Collaboration:Support physicians and healthcare staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office,family practice, or primary care clinic setting.
- Proficiency withOSCAR EMR; experience withApple computers preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices is an asset.
