Securiguard is looking for a highly capable security guard for our Loss Prevention Team. As a member of our Tactical Security Team, you will be working in teams of 2-4, patrolling select retail stores. As part of your role, you will be apprehending shoplifters, following prolific offenders, and gathering related intelligence on current crime activity.Job Qualifications:

• Valid BC Security Worker License
• AST (Preferred)
• Previous Retail Security Experience – 1year (preferred)
• Loss Prevention Experience- 6 months (Preferred)
• Must be flexible to work in multiple stores/locations
• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour period
• Ability to complete incident reports on a daily basis
• Must be comfortable apprehending and detaining shoplifters when required
• Ability to handle difficult situations with a calm demeanor
• Excellent judgment and decision-making ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to arrest, recover and conduct mobile and static surveillance of persons, groups, vehicles, and addresses
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team as operational needs dictate
