Overview
Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic, paid internships! As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will support the Human Resources team with a focus on recruiting operations, social media recruitment, and employer branding. You will work closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition and the Talent team to help promote open roles and internship opportunities, support candidate engagement, and assist with onboarding activities. This internship also provides exposure to modern recruiting tools, including AI-enabled platforms, giving you hands-on experience with how technology supports today’s talent acquisition strategies. This role offers a well-rounded introduction to corporate recruitment in a collaborative environment. This position is on-site and based out of our headquarters in New York.
Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative tasks related to recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations.
- Assist with candidate coordination, onboarding preparation, and new hire welcome materials, including gift bags and workspace/cubicle setup.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings and internship opportunities on social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
- Help draft and organize recruitment-related social media content that highlights company culture, career opportunities, and employer brand.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure social media and recruiting communications align with company values and brand guidelines.
- Support corporate office events, hiring initiatives, and internal HR communications.
- Input and maintain candidate and employee information in internal HR systems, applicant tracking systems, and AI-enabled recruiting tools.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum Junior status at the time of internship.
- Strong interest in Talent Acquisition, recruiting, and employer branding.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn preferred) and interest in social media recruiting.
- Interest in or coursework related to AI, data, HR technology, or digital tools is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Professional work ethic with a positive, proactive, and curious mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Outlook, Teams, or ATS platforms is a plus.
- Ability to commit to a 10-week onsite internship (June-August).
- Must reside in New York during the internship and work onsite in New York.
- Salary – $20/hr for 40-hour week /10 weeks
