Essential Functions

• Ability to perform the functions of the job while adhering to the Safety Absolutes.
• Operate a hand-held grinder to finish small part components
• Load machine programs, as needed, specific to product orders
• Process material in accordance with shop drawings through the use of designated machines
• Troubleshoot causes of operating errors and determine possible resolutions
• Maintain material traceability
• Seek opportunities for improvements within the manufacturing department
• Perform tasks according to production needs to minimize downtime
• Determine machine maintenance needs and perform light maintenance, as needed
• Manage time to efficiently produce quality products within designated work hours
• Communicate information and provide feedback, in person, with co-workers, Shift Lead, Shift Supervisor &/or Production/Operations Manager
• Perform lean, 5S, and/or general housekeeping
• Other duties as required and/or assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-3 years prior work experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read micrometers, flatness and radius gauges and tape measures
• Must be able to read and interpret WIP instruction packets
• Must obtain forklift license within 90 days of starting job
