We are looking for a TDD/ESG Specialist to strengthen our Swedish Building Consultancy & ESG team

In Sweden, PDS comprises of project managers within the Building Consultancy, Corporate Project Management, Development Advisory and Construction Management teams. The Building Consultancy team has a major focus on assisting clients in undertaking Technical & Environmental Due Diligence (TEDD) assessments prior to acquisition or disposal of assets. In addition, our team undertake ESG assessments as part of transactions or as part of improvement strategies post-acquisition to improve assets from a sustainability and value perspective.
JLLs Building Consultancy team want to expand further to meet increased demands from clients in helping with TEDD assessments and especially ESG related queries. We assist both global and local Nordic clients in transaction advisory and asset improvement strategies concerning ESG and sustainability related items. ESG and sustainability services include but are not limited to EPC uplift assessments, energy saving and improvement calculations, building certifications, Net-Zero carbon assessments including CRREM analysis as well as climate risk assessments and EU Taxonomy compliance.
Main responsibilities
Within the Building Consultancy department, you will provide technical advisory services for and on behalf of property companies/funds, investors and public players. Projects can vary between small scale single properties to large portfolios throughout EMEA. We are actively seeking a TDD/ESG specialist who wants to become an integral part of our diverse and talented Building Consultancy team. We summarise below the main responsibilities:
- Meaningful Impact: As a TDD/ESG specialist, you will play a critical role in helping clients make sound investment decisions by assessing the condition of the building and technical installations, providing CAPEX cost estimates, and give strategic advice to help clients in determining go/no-go decisions before acquisition/disposal.
- Key Skills: You are proficient in preparing technical reports and cost estimates such as condition surveys, maintenance plans and due diligence assessments. You actively seek new client contacts and leads and business opportunities. Your key skills in technical report writing and active client engagement will be put into action daily as you create new business opportunities, undertake assessments, and provide valuable insights to clients in a timely manner.
- Focus on ESG and Sustainability: Familiarity with building certification systems such as BREEAM, Miljöbyggnad. Ideally, you have worked with some of these systems or have experience in conducting assessments and identifying improvements. As a TDD/ESG specialist, you will be involved in energy-saving assessments (EPC improvement) and reducing the carbon impact of assets (via CRREM/LCA assessments).
- Wider Sustainability Services: You will actively collaborate with team members assisting with environmental desktop assessments (EDD), climate risk assessments, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), EU Taxonomy and CSRD.
Experience and knowledge
- Minimum five years’ experience working in property branch including some experience with TEDD projects, sustainable development, maintenance planning, facilities management and/or project management.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in identifying opportunities for improvements relating to cost and energy savings
- Exhibit fluent proficiency in spoken and written English and Swedish.
- Have experience with or a strong interest in working with building certification systems such as BREEAM, Miljöbyggnad. Familiarity with EPC systems including improvement assessments and recommendations.
