Tea Packaging Operator I – Concord, NC

We are currently seeking a Packer to convert tea into finished, packaged products in accordance with defined quality, productivity, safety, and cost standards.

Job Functions:

• Conducts a check of the packaging machine, and completes a change over sheet to ensure that boxes, film, tea, etc. on the packaging line are correct.
• Writes out tickets detailing the pallet number, item number, number of cases, the date, weight of the boxes, and the kind of tea.
• Types item number into the system and prints off a label for the spec sheet.
• Inspects tea bags on the packaging line to ensure they are sealing good with no tea inside the seals and no holes in the bag.
• Checks bags to insure they are the correct weight and sends them back to be remixed if they do not pass inspection.
• Assembles boxes for the packaging machine to fill.
• Closes boxes of tea after the bags are counted by the machine and placed in the box.
• Pushes boxes to the labeling machine.
• Sends boxes down the line to be taped.
• Cleans machine with an air hose and sweeps the working area throughout the day as necessary in order to prevent dust on the packaging line.
• Completes other duties as assigned by management.
