Start Date: November 2025We are looking for inspirational, enthusiastic, and committed teacher to join our successful a forward-thinking Social Sciences Department. You will be required to teach Psychology and Sociology at 6th Form level.If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people and committed to high standards, have vision, ideas, and initiative, then we are keen to hear from you. Applications from ECTs as well as experienced teachers are welcome.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate students.Teach across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (GCSE and A-Level), with possible contributions at Key Stage 3 where appropriate.Assess, record, and report on student progress in accordance with school and exam board requirements.Contribute to curriculum development and the design of schemes of work.Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school events.Support and mentor students, encouraging personal growth and academic achievement.Person SpecificationEssential:A degree in a relevant Social Science subject.Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level (including A-Level).Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Desirable:Experience teaching more than one Social Science subject.Familiarity with current educational issues and curriculum developments in Social Sciences.
