A teaching assistant is needed for special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for students aged 11-19.As a teaching assistant, you will be supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and severe learning (SLD) and/or physical disabilities (PD).As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely alongside the teacher or with small groups or individual students.This school is easily accessible from around London, with great transport links.Being a teaching assistant at this school, you will become a part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources.Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Working with and supporting students with SLD, ASD and other complex needs.
• Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
• Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
• Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.
• Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
• Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• The right to work in the UK.
• A clear and up-to-date DBS.
• Experience working as a teaching assistant.
• A patient and caring attitude with a passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
