DescriptionA vibrant mixed secondary school in Hackney are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. Within this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you would be supporting pupils aged 11-16 with a range of additional needs. The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant, ideally with experience with children with SEN. If you are a proactive and caring individual looking to make a difference to the lives of young people, working as a SEN Teaching Assistant role could be the right fit for you.The school is well connected to transport links, with sociable hours and a supportive atmosphere. You will be joining an experinced SEN Team with their students at the heart of what they do.Key Responsibilities: * Providing one-to-one and group support to children with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.

• Implementing tailored learning strategies and interventions as directed by the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure the individual needs of students are met effectively.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of differentiated activities to support student progress.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Requirements: * Previous experience with children with SEND

• A Bachelors degree (minimum lower second)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)
• Right to work in the UK
• Strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs and associated support strategies.
• Excellent communication
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the diverse needs of students.
