GH10398320We are working in partnership with a school located in Barnsley, who are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate would be talented, creative, and enthusiastic about being a positive role model for students.Teaching Assistants are given an opportunity to make a positive impact on students with autistic spectrum conditions and communication and interaction difficulties.A successful candidate would:

• Have experience in an educational setting either in specialist provision for pupils with SEN/SEMH needs.
• A history of working with students with challenging behaviour, autism spectrum and complex needs.
• A confident, caring, and assertive personality

What to expect?

• Working in these settings requires patience, confidence, and a caring attitude as many of these students have difficult social, emotional, and mental health issues which need to be managed.
• Many of the students will have difficulties in displaying these emotions in a productive way so the use of Team Teach positive behaviour management strategies will need to be used often.
• Many of these children have low self-esteem and will require positive re enforcement from you when they display good behaviours.

What we need from you:

• To be currently available for full time employment.
• 2x references.
• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service
• Team teach Positive behaviour management certificate required.
